Storm of the Century of the Week

I'm sorry, but I don't think I can feel threatened by anything named "Floyd." This latest hurricane that will plague the east coast of the U.S. today is just another attempt to frighten us and give the media something to talk about. What's a hurricane, anyway? A little wind? Some rain? Boo-hoo. I mean, it's only nature. How much damage can it do?

Oh, and personally, I find it insulting that I can re-heat a burrito in thirty seconds in a microwave, but I can't even control something as simple as the weather. I mean, I can have total control over the climate inside my house, but if I want to leave, I have to carry an umbrella just in case it rains. How technologically advanced can we be? We still have weather.

Floyd is coming and I for one am utterly non-plussed. What's a little hurricane?
