On Poetry X one of the sidebar banners that came up was for Vonage, the voice-over-IP (VOIP) phone provider.
The ad was a flash animation that had a little calculator that asked for your current monthly phone bill and then it would calculate how much you'd "save" with vonage.
The kicker is that if your bill is less than Vonage's monthly rate of $24.95, the ad admonishes you to please input your TOTAL monthly bill, including taxes, long distance, etc.
So I did. Same deal.
So I guess Vonage can't save me money over Boost (~$6.50 a month).
