Storm of the Century of the Week
I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can feel threatened by anything named “
This latest hurricane that will plague the east coast of the U.S. today is just
another attempt to frighten us and give the media something to talk about.
What’s a hurricane, anyway? A little wind? Some rain? Boo-hoo. I mean, it’s
only nature. How much damage can it do?
Oh, and personally, I find it insulting that I can re-heat a burrito in thirty
seconds in a microwave, but I can’t even control something as simple as the
weather. I mean, I can have total control over the climate inside my house, but
if I want to leave, I have to carry an umbrella just in case it rains. How
technologically advanced can we be? We still have weather.
Floyd is coming and I for one am utterly non-plussed. What’s a little hurricane?
